A few of my friends seem to be sinking into the poser category. They don’t actually like the music they listen to, they just think its cool. Some of them claim that nirvana is the best band in the world (don’t get me wrong, great band. But don’t you think its time their taste developed? I mean nirvanas long gone) others seem to think their fave band is the only good band in the world. They have no respect for others. Why cant people just like their own music and not try to influence other people? I mean I’ve listened to some of those so called ‘special’ bands and I cant hear anything worth boasting about. I just wish people would stop thinking that there is only one type of music that is cool or one type of music that is good.

Recently I told one of my new friends that I’m quite a big fan of incubus. She proceeded to tell me what a crap song “are you in” is. I was just like “so? I don’t listen to that album. I like their old stuff and anyway, what does my music matter to you? Would you care if that was my favourite song?”

So next time your friend tells you that some same old boring band are gods, or your mate wont stop going on about a band that you cant stand, just think….

ive never had a blog before so i guess i’ll start with the something i love… music

my favourite band is incubus and i saw them live for the first time last month. i really love all music… some fave at the moment are new young pony club,  the distillers, amy winehouse (i dont like her that much but man that girl can sing!) asobi seksu, audioslave, no doubt, pearl jam, blind melon, peaches, white stripes, M.I.A, marilyn manson, blondie…. the list kinda goes on but as you can see im into a range of stuff but by far my fave band is incubus. do any of you guys listen to them? i just find them so inspirational. there music is so refreshing. my fave albums probably S.C.I.E.N.C.E
